About the Master
Don Alejandro Apaza Machaca

74 years old, Don Alejandro Apaza Machaca is one of the last living P’aqos (shaman) to have mastered the traditions of the Chumpi P’aqo. Descended from a lineage of Chumpi (belt) and Kyuchi (rainbow) P’aqos. His father, Don Santos, was a P’aqo of the rank of Pampamesayoq while his grandfather, Don Efracio, was an Altomesayoq, the highest grade of P’aqo in the Andes. His other grand father was also P’aqo, and his sister is Doña Maria Apaza, at 100 years old and still teaching and healing, is considered one of the great Altomesayoq’ s of Peru.
Don Alejandro grew up surrounded by a family of advanced shaman, in the middle of the most sacred Apus (high mountains) near Cusco in Peru. He is the founder and leader of the Inca Medicine School, which offers initiations, training and other shamanic services in Peru.
Don Alejandro has 60 years of experience as a healer and guardian of sacred nature. He is known as a wise and respected elder in his community of Quicco, inside nation of Qeros, heart of the sacred traditions of the Quechuan people’s of Peru and Bolivia.
Don Alejandro spent his 40 first years exclusively in the Quicco community. Here in the remote regions of the Andean mountains, he lived in constant connection with the powerful spirit beings from the area such as Otorongo (Puma), Apu Chin (Condor), as well as sacred waterfalls, rivers and Apus (mountains). From them and his teachers he received initiations and training. He has been empowered by them to spread the Inca Andean knowledge of his people to the world. Seeking to preserve his ancient wisdom and bring healing to the world, he travels and teaches his ancient and practical wisdom.
In these times of confusion and sickness, Don Alejandro believes it is very important to share his wisdom, inspire new ways of living, and bring people into balance, harmony and respect for nature and all the beings that surround us.

Don Alejandro’s ancestor’s developed healing techniques and ceremonies through their communication with the spirits of nature and spiritual dimensions. Their aim was to maintain harmony between the cosmos, the people, and nature. Don Alejandro passes on his wisdom in order to keep these ancient traditions alive and thriving in a time which so desperately needs it. His work is powered by the ethics of living in harmony with all. In his native Quechua language, this is called “Ayni”, living in loving harmony with nature and the cosmos as a way of life. While there are many traditions within the Q’ero shamanic culture, Don Alejandro’s lineage specializes in working with key powerful sacred spirits of nature, the rainbow and the 7 Ñustas (feminine healing spirits).
Class & Theme Details
Q'ero Practices
Living in harmony the Andean way
Friday 17th (7pm – 9.30pm)
Master Paqo Pampamesayoq Don Alejandro Apaza will introduce himself and give details about the Quicco community, his family lineage and Q’eros energy medicine. This ancient tradition, originating in the Inca Empire, was preserved in secret for 500 years until the 1970’s by hidden clans in the High Andes. Together with teacher and translator, Beti Tuero, he will explain about Allin Kawsay – a means by which to live in a good life and to have abundance without avoid harming our community or our environment. Allin Kawsay brings you into harmony with other people, the animals, the plants, all of nature, and the spiritual dimensions of the cosmos
In this 3 hour class, Don Alejandro and Betti will share the most essential knowledge and principles of life used by their Andean ancestors for thousands of years, and based on respecting the perfect balance which governs nature and the cosmos.
Don Alejandro teaches that this wisdom is applicable in every part of Mother Earth, since it follows the natural harmony and order of the universe.

Healing Week
Chumpi Mesa Healing (2 days)
Monday & Tuesday, 20 – 21 July (10am – 5pm)

Don Alejandro is the last master Chumpi P’aqo. He is offering this workshop for the first time in Ireland. He will teach you all about the chumpi stones, their 7 spirits, their connections to the Ñawi’s (chakras), and how they are connected with the 3 dimensions of the cosmos. The Master will teach you how to use a Chumpi Mesa, a set of specially carved sacred stones. Don Alejandro will teach you how to open the Ñawi’s (chakras) of your client and then clear, bless and to protect them with the sacred Chumpi stones.
Initiation
A Chumpi Karpay initiation is required to activate the connection between you and the seven sacred spirits of the Chumpi’s. This initiation is a special ceremony in which the Master, giving an offering to the correct spirits, will awaken in you an ability to work with the chumpi stones. During this initiation he will also ask the most important 7 Sacred Spirits of Nature to give you their blessing to heal others with your Chumpi Mesa. These initiations require an individual despacho of request and offering for each person, after which they are burned in a fire ceremony. Initiations will be take place at the end of the formal training section. You will be given special instructions in class which will enable you to have a very deep and powerful initiation.
Equipment
To give Chumpi Mesa healings, you need a traditional Chumpi Mesa – a set of Chumpi stones and sacred cloths. These materials are not included in the class fees because some people already have Chumpi Mesa stones from Peru.
This equipment is not essential for the training. You can learn to use the Chumpi stones in class, and then decide if you want to buy a set. Or you can buy a set for class (by pre-ordering) and learn with them. Or you can order them directly from Don Alejandro any time in the future.
Don Alejandro will bring everything you need from Peru for you. He will bring sacred cloths woven by the Ñusta (female) P’aqos of his family. He will bring authentic Chumpi stones carved by his special old friend who creates the authentic Chumpi’s for his people. They will be on sale.
There are 2 options for Chumpi sets:
Complete Set:
7 chumpis stones, 1 uncuña cloth of the four directions, 1 lliqlla big cloth, and 1 intihuatana cord to tie the Chumpi Mesa.
Price: $270 usd
Basic Set:
7 Chumpis stones and 1 uncuña cloth of the four directions.
Price: 150 usd
Instructions on how to pre-order the equipment will be contained in the email which confirms your booking once your place in the class is confirmed.

7 Ñustas Healing (2 days)
Wednesday & Thursday, 22 – 23 July, 2026 (10am – 5pm)
Nustas are feminine spirits in the Quechuan tradition. 7 Nustas Healing is a beautiful ancient Incan healing process working with 7 female spirits of nature.
The Seven Ñustas are beautiful female sacred spirits with empowered with ancient cosmic wisdom. They work through the K’uychiq Qanchis Ñan (the 7 Paths of the Rainbow) to send healing and the kawsay (life energy) to the patient, using the Rainbow Ribbons.
These female spirits consider that it is now the time in the world for healing and cleansing from all the heavy energies we coexist with everyday. They passed this healing wisdom to the father of Don Alejandro, Don Santos Apaza, who passed it to his son, who now passes it to you.
The Seven Ñustas are Apus (sacred mountains). Don Alejandro will show you how to connect to them, and how to call them everytime you need to apply this technique to help others. He will also teach how to use each individual path of the Rainbow, each representing one of the Ñustas to do cleansing, healing, and blessings.
A Ñustas Karpay initiation is required to activate the connection between you and the Ñustas.
The karpay wil be give it to each participant by Don Alejandro on the second day.
Soul Retrieval
Friday, 24 July 2026 (10am – 5pm)

In the Andes one of the most traditional healings is the soul retrieval or “llamado de animo”. This healing is given to help people recover from traumatic events and their most difficult moments in life. At moments like these, part of the soul breaks off in order to contain the traumatic energies of the event. However, this causes long-term problems. Soul retrieval is a technique to recover and integrate the lost soul part. It is a central practice in Q’ero society.
Don Alejandro will teach you how to help in both simple cases of soul loss and also the most extreme cases, when a person is almost at the point of death due to soul loss. Maestro will show you how to use the pucucho as a main tool for the soul retrieval and also the special despacho specifically for extreme soul loss.
This technique requires the use of a Pucucho, a sacred bag made from baby Alpaca to call the spirits. The Pucucho is the most important tool in Don Alejandro’s tradition.
If you do not already have a Pucucho, you can order one directly from Don Alejandro for $60 usd and he will bring it to the class.
Information on how to order your Pucucho will be included in your confirmation email when your booking is confirmed.

Cleansing & Connecting
Learning to Give Psychic Cleansing
Saturday, 25 July (10am – 5pm)
Don Alejandro will explain about Hucha (heavy energies), how to recognize them, and which spirits of nature help us to transform these heavy energies and free us from the problems that they may bring us.
You will learn how to use natural materials from your area. The Master will teach you how to do this cleansing for yourself and also how you can do it for others.
Once you understand and have practiced a little, you can teach to others how to give and receive this cleansing.
You will practice together with the guidance of Maestro Don Alejandro, who is an expert in cleansings.
During this class Don Alejandro will deliver individual cleansings to each person. Weather permitting, this will happen at the sacred River Boyne.
Connecting to Sacred Sites and Places of Power
Sunday, 26 July (10am – 1pm)
P’aqo shamans from the Q’eros Nation in the Andes have different ways of helping their communities reconnect with nature and the sacred spirits of Pachamama (Mother Earth), the Apus (mountains) and nature. One of these ways is through the Saywa (sometimes known as the Apacheta). The Saywa forms a connection between you and the sacred spirit of a powerful Apu or sacred place. This gives you the ability to communicate with Pachamama and the cosmos via the sacred place or Apu in order to pray and make requests.
This class will take place on the Hill of Tara, one of Ireland’s great sacred sites for the last 5,000 years and central to many myths and legends in Irish lore. Don Alejandro will open the Saywa for the community so that you can communicate your wishes directly to Pachamama.
